Ave Maria gratia plena Dominus tecum.

Happy Mothers Day!

When Jesus saw his mother and the disciple there whom he loved, he said to his mother, “Woman, behold, your son.” Then he said to the disciple, “Behold, your mother.” And from that hour the disciple took her into his home.  (John 19:26-27)

Jesus in this verse of scripture Jesus actually gives us his mother, Mary to be our own mother, and for those who would like to learn more about why he did so, the following link will take you to a link explaining why.

The Blessed Virgin Mary is indeed our mother, especially because what Christ had said on the cross.
I think one of the best examples to explain her close relationship with Jesus is very much like the relationship between  sun and the moon.

the sun shines light for all to see in the day and as you can see at night, when the moon is in the sky, the light that makes the moon's appear, is not the moon's light, however it is the light shining over the moon from the sun. Mary will ALWAYS direct us back to Jesus.Hail Mary, full of grace. The Lord is with thee. Blessed art thou among women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death. Amen.
